Arsenal are keeping track of Wolves winger Pedro Neto and had scouts in attendance to watch his instrumental display against Manchester City on Saturday, sources have confirmed to 90min.

Neto was widely considered one of the Premier League's best young wide forwards during his first few years at Molineux, but his development was derailed by a serious knee injury sustained in April 2021.

The Portugal international scarcely started for Wolves during the 2021/22 and 2022/23 seasons and scored just one goal in 32 games across all competitions in that time.

However, Neto has begun the 2023/24 campaign back at his sharp, line-breaking best, registering one goal and four assists in seven Premier League games already.

He forced the opening own goal during Wolves' surprise 2-1 win against treble-winners Man City at the weekend, sprinting past several defenders and then seeing his cross deflect in off compatriot Ruben Dias.

90min understands that Arsenal are long-standing admirers of Neto and have sent scouts to watch him several times in the past month.

Neto, who is left-footed, is capable of playing on either flank but usually starts from the right. Arsenal's only left-footed winger in the first-team setup is Bukayo Saka, who has started their last 87 Premier League games, which stands as a club record.

Arsenal are not the only side interested in Neto, however. Sources have confirmed to 90min that Wolves' West Midlands rivals Aston Villa have checked in on his progress recently as they look to strengthen their own attacking options.

There is further admiration of Neto from abroad, with Atletico Madrid keen on the 23-year-old and the Saudi Pro League still interested in making the winger one of their next marquee signings.
