Arsenal are now looking to salvage their season having exited the Champions League to Bayern Munich.

The Gunners remain in the title picture having enjoyed a run of impressive victories after the winter break, but defeat to Aston Villa saw them surrender their status as Premier League leaders.

Mikel Arteta will need as many players as possible at his disposal for the final set of fixtures, with the Spaniard's squad seemingly suffering from fatigue.

Here's who's currently on the treatment table in north London and when Arsenal fans can expect to see them back in action.

  • Issue: Torn ACL
  • Potential Return: May

Jurrien Timber was poised to play a big role for Arsenal during his debut campaign, but the Dutchman tore his ACL in the opening game of the Premier League season against Nottingham Forest and has missed the entirety of the campaign since.

The defender has impressed the club's staff during his recovery and has trained with Arteta's squad for well over a month.

Arsenal are rightfully acting cautiously regarding his potential return, and he wasn't involved right away after the international break. Mikel Arteta has said that he wants Timber to play in an in-house game as well as an Under-23s game before he returns to competitive action with the first team.
