Goals from Emile Smith-Rowe, Nicolas Pepe and Willian gave Arsenal a 3-1 win over West Brom on Sunday evening - a result which confirmed the Baggies' relegation from the Premier League.

Bukayo Saka caught the eye early on and it was no surprise when he laid one on a plate for Smith-Rowe to volley home on the half-hour mark.

Minutes later Pepe was given all the time in the world to curl in an unstoppable drive from the edge of the box that made it a 2-0.

Saka continued to star in the second half, with his cross providing Gabriel Martinelli with a great chance, but he could not convert. Matheus Pereira then pulled one back for West Brom with a fine solo effort.

The Baggies continued to push right until the end but could not find a breakthrough. In the closing stages Willian converted a free kick which confirmed beyond all doubt that they would be playing Championship football again next season.

Here are your Gunners and Baggies player ratings from the Emirates Stadium...

ARSENAL PLAYER RATINGS

1. Goalkeeper & defenders

Bernd Leno (GK) - 6/10 - A quiet afternoon. Pereira's finish left him with little chance.

Callum Chambers (RB) - 7/10 - Spot on defensively and also overlapped menacingly early on. Focussed on defending in the second half for the most part.

Rob Holding (CB) - 7/10 - Commanding in the air. He rarely put a foot wrong throughout.

Gabriel (CB) - 6/10 - Poor for Pereira's goal. He should have closed down the shot quicker.

Bukayo Saka (LB) - 8/10 - A constant threat despite playing left-back. Set up the first goal and should have finished with a hat-trick of assists.

2. Midfielders

Mohamed Elneny (CM) - 7/10 - Solid. He read things intelligently, making two interceptions and kept it simple in possession.

Dani Ceballos (CM) - 7/10 - Started slow but got going after Arsenal took the lead, breaking the lines with his passing and dribbling. Also completed his fair share of defensive work.

Emile Smith-Rowe (AM) - 7/10 - Finished tidily for the opening goal and was always busy.

3. Forward

Nicolas Pepe (LW) - 7/10 - Scored a terrific goal before the break. Faded somewhat after that.

Gabriel Martinelli (ST) - 6/10 - Limited involvement. Missed a good chance seconds before being taken off.

Willian (LW) - 7/10 - A few bright moments. Drifted in and out of the game but finished strongly with a superb free kick.

4. Substitutes

Alexandre Lacazette - 6/10 - Worked hard and held the ball up well.

Kieran Tierney - 6/10 - A solid cameo.

Thomas Partey - 6/10 - Shored things up.

WEST BROM PLAYER RATINGS

5. Goalkeeper & defenders

Sam Johnstone (GK) - 5/10 - Got a hand to Pepe's strike. Perhaps could have kept it out. Same could be said for Willian's free kick.

Darnell Furlong (RB) - 5/10 - Saka had him on toast all evening. In his defence, few Premier League defenders would have been able to stem the tide. Missed a good chance in the second half.

Semi Ajayi (CB) - 6/10 - Did not give Martinelli much. Kept Lacazette fairly quiet when he came on as well.

Kyle Bartley (CB) - 6/10 - Rarely gave the ball away and was largely solid.

Conor Townsend (LB) - 5/10 - Allowed Pepe far too much space to shoot for Arsenal's second goal. Fine after that.

6. Midfielders

Callum Robinson (RM) - 4/10 - Lacklustre defending for Arsenal's first goal. He allowed Saka to slip past far too easily. Offered little going forward.

Okay Yokuslu (CM) - 6/10 - The Baggies' best midfielder. He broke up play and tried his best to stem Arsenal's dominance in the middle.

Matt Phillips (CM) - 5/10 - Chasing shadows frequently. Should have offered his side a bit more thrust in midfield.

Conor Gallagher (CM) - 5/10 - Busy but hardly got on the ball. His delivery was pretty good.

Matheus Pereira (LM) - 7/10 - Great run and finish to give West Brom hope. Unlikely he will be playing in the Championship next season.

7. Forwards

Mbaye Diagne (ST) - 5/10 - Received very little service. Just 15 touches before he was replaced before the hour.

8. Substitutes

Hal Robson-Kanu - 6/10 - Worked hard and held the ball up effectively.

Grady Diangana - 6/10 - Added some much needed pace to the Baggies attack.
