Arsenal continued their 100% winning start to the Women's Super League season, strolling to a 3-0 win over Everton on Sunday afternoon.

The victory was a reminder of the Gunners' ability, after they were humbled 4-1 by Barcelona in the Champions League on Tuesday.

Arsenal took control of the game from the outset with Nikita Parris and Vivianne Miedema both spurning early openings. Miedema then had an effort blocked superbly by Gabrielle George, but Everton's resolve could only last just beyond the half-hour mark.

That was when the ball broke to Katie McCabe on the edge of the box and she looped a volley over the scrambling Sandy MacIver in Everton's goal. Eight minutes later, Arsenal were celebrating again with Lotte Wubben-Moy was afforded a free header at the back post from McCabe's corner.

In the early stages of the first half, Everton threatened on the counter but struggled with their final ball. Arsenal, meanwhile, created some promising openings with Tobin Heath having an effort saved and McCabe fizzing a strike just past the far post.

The game followed a similar pattern until full time, with the Gunners adding some gloss to the scoreline through a Frida Maanum wonder strike four minutes from time.

Here is how the Arsenal starting XI and subs rated...

Arsenal player ratings vs Everton - WSL

1. Goalkeeper & defenders

Leah Williamson

Manuela Zinsberger (GK) - 7/10 - Barely had anything to do. Coped well when her defenders put her under pressure with a few risky back passes.

Noelle Maritz (RB) - 7/10 -
Incredible energy up and down the right flank. Did not give her opposite number an inch.

Leah Williamson (CB) - 8/10 -
So calm and collected, as she always is. Distributed the ball expertly.

Lotte Wubben-Moy (CB) - 8/10 -
Took her goal - a textbook attacking header - nicely. Not caused many issues defensively.

Katie McCabe (LB) - 9/10 -
Scored a terrific goal and her corner also led to the second. So threatening going forward, as you might expect, and ran things from left-back.

2. Midfielders

Kim Little (CM) - 7/10 - Fared well after a tough night in midweek against Barcelona. Covered every blade of grass and took up some dangerous positions between the lines.

Mana Iwabuchi (CM) - 6/10 - Did not reach the levels we know she can but did enjoy some bright moments on the ball.

Frida Maanum (CM) - 8/10 - Stole the show with an incredible strike at the death. Capped off a well-rounded display.

3. Forwards

Tobin Heath (RW) - 5/10 - Quiet on the ball but kept to her defensive duties diligently.

Vivianne Miedema (ST) - 6/10 - Some great link-up play at times. Surprisingly wasteful when chances presented themselves and had a quiet second half.

Nikita Parris (LW) - 6/10 - Missed a good chance early on and then faded into the background.

4. Substitutes
