Apollon FC allow club supporters to vote for their 2021/22 kits on fan app

Cypriot side Apollon FC are enabling supporters to vote on the full design of their home and away kits for the 2021/22 season via a fan engagement app.
Apollon have previous when it comes to fan engagement. In October 2020, they left team selection in the hands of supporters for their friendly against local rivals Aris Limassol and went on to win 6-0.

The three-time Cypriot champions will allow supporters to decide on a selection of home and away strips designed by the team's kit manufacturer Puma through fan engagement app Socios.com.
Fans can also create and vote on a unique message to be written across the collar of the shirts. It's not Apollon's first headline-grabbing fan vote with Socios either, the club allowing fans to choose their formation and lineup for a friendly back in October.
Puma have created three home and away designs for fans to choose from. The first is a blue on white design, with a blue stripe stretching diagonally across the chest. The away strip mirrors this, but with black as the predominant colour as opposed to white.
The second shirt is a blue and white hooped design, with each hoop accompanied with finer diagonal blue stripes. Once again, the away shirt is the same, but with the white replaced with black.
The final shirt is a classic blue and white striped shirt with a twist, with each vertical stripe again accompanied with finer diagonal blue stripes. Black replaces the white in the away shirt.
“When we announced our partnership with Socios.com, we set out to innovate and become leaders in fan engagement," explained Apollon chairman Nicos Kirzis.
"Especially during the pandemic and with stadiums being empty, we felt that Socios.com was the most optimal tool to keep our fans close and make them feel appreciated.
"Following a series of amazing polls, we are now letting $APL token holders choose the official
2021/22 Apollon FC kits as well as the custom message which will be printed on the jerseys, this way
every time they watch the team play, they will know that they are part of it and the players will
know that they got the fans by their side.”
