Antoine Griezmann boasts one of the most incredible fitness records of any elite sportsman, after it was revealed that he has featured in 92% of the games played by his teams in Spain over his entire career.
The 30-year-old is known for his exceptional work rate and willingness to run. Those energy levels are even more impressive when considering the select number of matches he's missed down the years.
The latest figures demonstrate just how reliable he is for his coaches, and how well he looks after his body. Marca reports that Griezmann has featured in 92% of games available to him during his time in Spain, making 568 appearances in his teams' 615 matches in all competitions.
Those statistics cover his stints at Real Sociedad, Atletico Madrid and Barcelona, where he has been a key figure for each team. He returned to Atleti this summer due to the Blaugrana's money issues, and is aiming to help his teammates retain the league title.
Over the past decade, Griezmann has picked up a grand total of three injuries, the first of which didn't even cause him to miss any matches. He has played in at least 48 games in each of the past eight seasons, surpassing 50 in five of those.
Not only has he been a reliable figure for his clubs, the Frenchman rarely skips a beat at international level. A World Cup winner with France, Griezmann has missed only four games since making his debut for his nation in 2014, reaching 100 caps for Les Bleus in quick time.
It's no surprise then that the forward is widely regarded as one of the most effective and talented players in his position, while he should also be recognised as one of the fittest.
