Ansu Fati is expected to make his latest return from injury when Barcelona host Mallorca in La Liga on Sunday.
The 19-year-old's senior career has been blighted by injuries which limited him to just seven league appearances last year and have kept him on five this year, although the hope is that he will add to that tally very soon.
A knee injury picked up in November 2020 hit countless setbacks and carried over to the current campaign, and when he eventually returned in September 2021, he managed just a handful of appearances before going down with another minor knee issue.
After that was a hamstring injury which followed just two games later, but Fati returned for the Super Cup final in January, only to aggravate the issue and return to the sidelines, and he has not been seen since, with his last league appearance coming in November 2021.
Fati has been back in training for the past few weeks and AS expect the young winger to finally see some action again in Sunday's meeting with Mallorca.
There had been hopes that Fati would make it back for Sunday's game against Rayo Vallecano, which Barcelona lost 1-0, but club doctors decided they were not 100% satisfied and have been told not to clear Fati until they are supremely confident that he will not hit another relapse.
Sunday could finally be that moment, with Fati now in line for his fourth comeback of the season.
Samuel Umtiti has also been given the green light from the doctors and could make his return from a toe injury which has cost him nearly five months of the season.
However, there will likely be no sign of either Sergi Roberto or Gerard Pique, who have been away from training over the past few days while they battle injuries.
