PSG are just a point away from regaining the Ligue 1 title after a comprehensive 3-0 win over Angers at Raymond Kopa Stadium.

The Parisiens were in control for most of the game despite fielding a relatively depleted lineup, and never really looked back after Kylian Mbappe's terrific opening goal.

Sergio Ramos and Marquinhos added further strikes to round off a professional performance from Mauricio Pochettino's side, who were rarely troubled by an Angers side who can deliver so much more when on form.

The game started off slowly as Keylor Navas made a smart early save for PSG, before Thilo Kehrer and Marquinhos failed to convert headers from point blank range.

On the half hour mark, things came to life courtesy of a moment of individual brilliance from Mbappe. Collecting the ball from deep in midfield, the 23-year-old combined with the ever-improving Achraf Hakimi to drive at the Angers defence with poise, pace and purpose. The Frenchman then unleashed a fearsome left-footed drive into the far corner that was far too hot for Anthony Mandrea to handle.

In first-half injury time, PSG doubled their advantage; Sergio Ramos climbing unmarked to flick home after Angel Di Maria had combined with Mbappe to take a quick short corner.

PSG pushed for a third after the break and saw Hakimi and Mbappe go close, and they were rewarded for their continued endeavour as Marquinhos took advantage of some terrible Angers marking to steer home Di Maria's centre.

The only blemish on the night was a late red card for Edouard Michut, who was punished by VAR for a high tackle that came about as a result of an unfortunate slip.

PSG now need just a point to dethrone Lille after Marseille fought back against Nantes to delay their title coronation - Saturday's clash with Lens the next opportunity Pochettino and his side will have to wrap up Ligue 1.

GK: Keylor Navas - 6/10 - Just the one save on the night for Navas so he made it as spectacular as he good.

RCB: Marquinhos - 8/10 - Always a classy performer for PSG, Marquinhos saw plenty of the ball to progress things in attack and took his second half chance with aplomb after missing a first half header.

CB: Sergio Ramos - 7/10 - Not given the sternest of workouts in defence and bagged a goal with a well-taken header.

LCB: Thilo Kehrer - 6/10 - Conceded a penalty in the second half only to see VAR intervene and overturn in his favour. Not bad but not great.

RWB: Achraf Hakimi - 8/10 - Menacing on the right flank and should definitely have scored a goal himself.

CM: Danilo Pereira - 7/10 - Mopped up countless time for PSG, registering 10 ball recoveries, and was fairly industrious going forward.

CM: Georginio Wijnaldum - 6/10 - Never skips a beat when it comes to passing accuracy and reading of the game, but the spark from Wijnaldum's game still seems to be missing at PSG.

LWB: Juan Bernat - 6/10 - The Spaniard is a good rotation option for PSG to have but that's about it. Second fiddle to Nuno Mendes and it showed in areas of his game.

RF: Angel Di Maria - 8/10 - A fine performance from Di Maria that saw him bag two assists. Crossing was supremely accurate and he looked capable of making something happen every time he saw the ball.

CF: Kylian Mbappe - 9/10 - Wonderful change of gear for the opening goal which set the tone for PSG's sudden improvement. Outstanding player.

LF: Éric Junior Dina Ebimbe - 6/10 - It's never easy for a young player to come into this PSG side, let alone step into the shoes of Neymar. Ebimbe did well for the most part but was a little subdued.

SUB: Edouard Michut (71' for Ebimbe) - 5/10 - Perhaps unfortunate to see red late on after slipping when making a tackle.

SUB: Nuno Mendes (71' for Bernat) - 6/10 - The Portuguese has far more about him in an attacking sense than Bernat, shown during his brief 20-minute cameo.

SUB: Idrissa Gueye (78' for Wijnaldum) - N/A

SUB: El Chadaille Bitshiabu (86' for Hakimi) - N/A

SUB: Xavi Simons (86' for Di Maria) - N/A
