Brazil manager Dorival Junior has revealed he expects to be without goalkeeper Alisson for the March internationals.

Alisson has missed Liverpool's last three games after picking up a hamstring injury, with Reds boss Jurgen Klopp repeatedly insisting the goalkeeper's fitness will be monitored ahead of Sunday's Carabao Cup final against Chelsea.

Dorival, however, appears to have firmly ruled Alisson out of the game by revealing he does not expect to have the 31-year-old available for March's international fixtures.

"Some players who had slightly more serious injuries, such as Alisson, Matheus Cunha, Joao Pedro and even Neymar, are totally removed from any possibility at this moment," Dorival told TNT Sports.

Brazil will face England on March 23 before facing Spain three days later.

After Sunday's Carabao Cup final, Liverpool face Southampton in the FA Cup fifth round and will then take on Nottingham Forest, Manchester City and Everton in the Premier League before the international break.

Just when Alisson will return currently remains unclear. Brighton & Hove Albion, Sheffield United and Manchester United are on the schedule for the first week back after the international break, but the Reds may have to continue without their starting goalkeeper.

In Alisson's place, 25-year-old Caoimhin Kelleher will continue to deputise and must now prepare for one of the biggest periods of his career. Aside from Sunday's Carabao Cup final, Kelleher appears set to start their crunch clash with Man City on March 10.

Liverpool currently sit top of the Premier League, four points clear of City having played one more game, so the upcoming clash between the two sides could go a long way to deciding the title race when all is said and done.
