Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho has been named in Argentina's senior squad for their March internationals.

The 18-year-old was born in Madrid and is eligible to play for both Spain and Argentina, featuring for both nations at youth level.

Garnacho received his first senior call-up to the Argentina setup last March for a set of World Cup qualifiers, though did not play any part for La Albiceleste.

However, he has been recalled by Lionel Scaloni for the world champions' games against Panama and Curacao at the end of the month.

Manchester United teammate Lisandro Martinez, part of the cohort which won the World Cup in December, has also been named in the squad.

Garnacho has been one of the Red Devils' breakout players this season, largely providing fresh energy from the bench.

He notably scored a stoppage-time winner against Fulham in United's final game before the World Cup break, while he netted a late second in their 3-1 victory at home to West Ham in the FA Cup on Wednesday.

The winner of the 2021/22 Jimmy Murphy Young Player of the Year award, Garnacho earned his first piece of senior silverware last week when United lifted the Carabao Cup.
