United have made Antony their top attacking target and have been holding talks, but sources have confirmed to 90min that they have been left 'shocked' by Ajax's stance.
Ajax's current record sale is from Frenkie De Jong, ironically United and Ten Hag's other major transfer target, who joined Barcelona in a deal worth €92m in 2019.
Listen now to 90min's Manchester United podcast, The Promised Land, with Scott Saunders & Rob Blanchette. 90min has been informed that Antony did not take the news well. The player had been led to believe Ajax would accept a reasonable fee, something which they do not believe is now the case.
