adidas unveil Euro 2020 federation away kits
By Tom Gott
We've been waiting a while, but Euro 2020 is finally creeping up on us, and adidas have bumped up the hype by releasing their away kits for the competition.
Flying the flag for the adidas team will be Belgium, Germany, Hungary, Russia, Scotland, Spain, Sweden and Wales, all of which have been given unique kits designed to reflect the passion and emotion for football in each country.
Let's take a look.
Belgium
Kicking things off are the Red Devils of Belgium, who have been handed a hand-drawn graphic that covers the front and back of the off-white base shirt.
Blue and navy accents help the collar and sleeve cuffs stand out, and the subtle 'B' design that can be found on the neck of the home shirt is also hiding away here.
Germany
Taking inspiration from their last all-black kit from back in 2010, Germany have gone one step further this year and gone full blackout.
Unlike that last shirt, the crest and adidas logos have now been coated black as well, with the only colour coming with the additional red and gold accents on the sleeves.
Hungary
Hungary are keeping it simple.
The base of the shirt is a pure white, with the green and red of the Hungarian flag splashed in down the sides and on the collar.
Russia
Similar to Hungary, Russia have gone for a basic look, but instead of adding colour down the side, this one goes for a bold flag pattern across the chest.
The red and blue stands out against the plain white background, offering a modern twist on the classic block design.
Scotland
Keeping true to their roots, national pride is a key part of Scotland's away kit as they prepare to rock up to their first European Championship since 1996.
Released early in 2020, this kit stands out because of the use of abstract patterns which have been synonymous with adidas shirts over the use. It's modern meets vintage.
Spain
With an expressive nature designed to reflect the creative nature of the national team, Spain are paying tribute to shirts of years gone by.
There are subtle splashes of the colours of the Spanish flag present throughout, but one of the nicest touches is the detailing on the neck which has been brought in to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Spain using lions on their shirt.
Sweden
There's a touch of class about Sweden's design, with its striking pinstripe design intended to stand out among the crowd.
The yellow stripes could hardly stand out more against the dark blue base and will hope to inspire Sweden to their first run past the group stage since 2004.
Wales
Another of those released back in 2020, Wales give a nod to their old adidas kit of 1980 with a modern twist on an old-school graphic.
The bright gold, which can be found as an accent on the home shirt, combines with green shorts and yellow socks.
