New Barcelona signing Adama Traore will make his first start for the club since rejoining on loan from Wolves in the La Liga clash with Atletico Madrid on Sunday.

Traore is joined in Xavi's starting XI by fellow winter signings Ferran Torres and Dani Alves, while Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has made the bench alongside Ousmane Dembele, who remains at the club after failing to get a move during the January transfer window.

Marc-Andre ter Stegen is between the sticks with Gerard Pique and Ronald Araujo in central defence, while Jordi Alba and Alves take the full-back roles.

Midfield lynchpin Sergio Busquets will play centrally alongside youngsters Pedri and Gavi, who are expected to bomb forward with Frenkie de Jong to support Traore in attack.

Striker Martin Braithwaite is also back in the squad. The Denmark international has only made three La Liga appearances this season - scoring twice and registering an assist - and hasn't played since a brief cameo in the Copa del Rey defeat to Athletic Club in January.

For Atleti, former Barça striker Luis Suarez will lead the line up front alongside Joao Felix, with Thomas Lemar and Yannick Carrasco taking the wing spots.

Captain Koke and Rodrigo de Paul feature in central midfield, while Jan Oblak is in goal.

The fixture could be pivotal as both sides chase Champions League qualification. Atleti are fourth, just a point ahead of Barça in fifth, with neither club expected to mount a title challenge to current leaders Real Madrid in the second half of the season.
