The Derby della Mole is part of 90min's 50 Biggest Derbies in the World Series

Considering the historic gulf in quality between Juventus and Torino, this will very much be a Juve-focused line-up. After all, the Torino side of the last 70 years or so can't compete with some of the legends Juventus have had during that period.

Still, Torino have boasted some of the greatest Italian players of all time and, as such, a couple of them are listed here alongside the countless number of Juventus legends.

GK - Gianluigi Buffon (Juventus)

Considered by many to be one of the greatest goalkeepers to ever grace the game, Gianluigi Buffon has been with Juventus (bar one, bizarre, season with Paris Saint-Germain) for close to two decades, collecting a staggering 11 Scudetti (and counting).

Known for his genuine personality as well as his commanding presence and quick reflexes, Buffon was one of the few Juve players to stay with the club following their relegation to Serie B in 2006, despite arguably being the best stop-stopper in the world at the time, having just won a World Cup with Italy.

RB - Gianluca Zambrotta (Juventus)

Though Gianluca Zambrotta played for the likes of Milan and Barcelona during his 20-year career, he is best known for his seven-year spell with Juventus.

Known for his pace, tackling and crossing ability, Zambrotta was nearly the perfect full-back and was a regular fixture for Juve throughout the time he spent there, making over 200 appearances for the club.

CB - Gaetano Scirea (Juventus)

One of the most talented defenders to ever play the game, Gaetano Scirea was an indispensable part of Juventus' squad for 14 years, making over 500 appearances for the club and helping them to win seven Serie A titles, two Coppa Italia and a UEFA Cup.

A classy player, known for his good leadership skills, Scirea served as Juventus' captain, making such an impact on the club that they elected to name a stand in the Allianz Stadium after him.

CB - Giorgio Chiellini (Juventus)

Mr. Juventus.

Giorgio Chiellini has been with La Vecchia Signora since the age of 21, helping the club to get out of Serie B during the darkest period in their history, before becoming a constant fixture in Juve's Scudetto-winning defences, earning a total of eight league titles during his time in Turin.

An aggressive, versatile defender with a penchant for a good tackle, Giorgio Chiellini's defensive contributions has been invaluable to Juventus' success over the last decade, and was the natural choice for the captaincy when Gianluigi Buffon left for Paris Saint-Germain in 2018.

LB - Virgilio Maroso (Torino)

Torino's Virgilio Maroso is considered to be one of the greatest full-backs that Italy have ever had, despite his career being tragically cut short at the age of just 23. Despite this, he made over 100 appearances for I Granata over the course of five years.

A quick, intelligent and graceful full-back, Maroso's defensive contributions, in addition to his attacking contributions, made him a key part of the Grande Torino side which won four league titles between 1946 and 1949.

CM - Andrea Pirlo (Juventus)

When Andrea Pirlo transferred from Milan to Juventus on a free transfer in 2011, it confirmed, in Gianluigi Buffon's eyes, that God must exist, believing Pirlo's move to Turin to be the signing of the century.

Pirlo only spent four seasons in the colours of I Bianconeri, but made an unforgettable impact, collecting league titles in every season he played for the club. Largely functioning as a deep-lying playmaker, his passing ability and tactical intelligence was vital to Juventus transforming themselves from an underperforming side who couldn't even reach the Champions League places to by far the most dominant team in Serie A.

CM - Zinedine Zidane (Juventus)

An elegant, skilful and versatile player, Zinedine Zidane was probably the best playmaker to ever grace the game, and Juventus was the place where he became one of the world's elite players.

He enjoyed a trophy-laden spell at the Stadio delle Alpi, helping the club to win three domestic and two European trophies during his five-year spell at Juve, before moving on to Real Madrid for a world-record fee in 2001.

CM - Michel Platini (Juventus)

Considered to be one of the greatest footballers of all time, Juventus was the club where Michel Platini found his most success, winning two Serie A titles and a European Cup during his five-year spell in Turin.

An incredibly prolific goalscorer in addition to his insane passing and dribbling ability, Platini was also the league's top scorer for three of his seasons at Juve.

FW - Giampiero Boniperti (Juventus)

A native of Piedmont, Giampiero Boniperti spent the entirety of 15-year career at Juventus, holding the distinction of being their all-time top scorer with 179 goals before Alessandro Del Piero overtook him in 2006.

Considered by some to be the greatest Italian footballer of all-time, Boniperti's keen eye for goal and, towards the end of his career, his ability to provide assists, helped Juve to win five Scudetti and two Coppa Italia between 1946 and 1961.

FW - Valentino Mazzola (Torino)

The face of Torino's legendary Grande Torino side, Valentino Mazzola is considered by some to be one of the greatest Italian footballers of all-time.

Known for his goalscoring ability, Mazzola scored 118 goals in 195 league appearances for I Granata and captained his side to five league titles and one Coppa Italia during his seven years at the club.

FW - Alessandro Del Piero (Juventus)

Known as a prolific goalscorer who could play just about anywhere in attack, Del Piero was an indispensable part of Juventus' squad for nearly two decades, earning Juve's record for the most appearances and goals. He also won just about every trophy available to him during his time at the club - including six league titles and a Champions League.

Del Piero was also one of the few players who remained at Juventus amid the Calciopoli scandal which saw them relegated to Serie B in 2006, securing his place in the hearts of Juve fans forevermore.
