Is there anything better than a prolific goalscorer? Well, yes actually: two prolific goalscorers.

This season we've seen plenty of teams benefit from having not one, but two players capable of scoring on any given day and while the majority of these partnerships receive the praise and attention they deserve, there are more than a few who don't.

We've seen several deadly duos quietly notch an impressive goal tally this season whilst flying completely under the radar. So here are five underrated goalscoring duos who are lighting it up in Europe this season.

Duván Zapata and Josip Iličić (Atalanta)

For the second season running, Atalanta have been in blistering goalscoring form. After finishing as the top goalscorers in last season's Serie A, La Dea were set to repeat that feat, scoring a sensational 70 goals in 25 league matches.

This was thanks, in large part, to Josip Iličić and Duván Zapata. In their second season together, the pair have combined for an impressive 33 goals in all competitions.

Alexander Sørloth and Anthony Nwakaeme (Trabzonspor)

With Alexander Sørloth only on loan from Crystal Palace, this could be the only season we see the Norwegian teaming up with Anthony Nwakaeme at Trabzonspor, but what a season they're having.

The pair have scored a combined total of 36 goals in all competitions for the club, with their 29 league goals seeing the Turkish side top of the league and possibly on their way to their first Süper Lig Title since 1984.

Myron Boadu and Oussama Idrissi (AZ Alkmaar)

Similarly to the aforementioned Trabzonspor, AZ Alkmaar have found themselves in a position to make a strong push at their first league title in quite some time.

Combined with their league-best defence, the goalscoring exploits of duo Myron Boadu and Oussama Idrissi have seen AZ sitting in second place, level on points with league leaders Ajax, with 27 of their combined total of 37 goals coming in the league.

Odsonne Edouard and Ryan Christie (Celtic)

After it seemed like Rangers were going to really push Celtic for the title all the way to the finish line this season, the blistering form from attacking due Odsonne Edouard and Ryan Christie have seen the defending champions pull away from their closest rivals, and re-emphasise their claim as Scotland's best team.

The Bhoys have scored a staggering 89 league goals this year with Edouard and Christie scoring over a third of them, 33.

The pair have combined for an incredible 45 goals for the Hoops this year and look set to have helped the club win its ninth straight league title.

Carlos Vinícius and Pizzi (Benfica)

With last season's top scorer, Haris Seferovic, struggling with injuries and poor form this year, Benfica needed a player capable of replacing his goals and luckily for them, they got two.

In their first season together, Carlos Vinícius and Pizzi have scored a truly incredible 46 goals in all competitions with 29 of them coming in the league, leaving the side in second place, within one point of league leaders Porto.

Pizzi has a very impressive 26 goals and 13 assists, while Vinícius has chipped in with 20 goals and 12 assists of his own.
