Brazilian great Ronaldo reunited with his former Real Madrid teammates to reminisce about the good old days at the Santiago Bernabeu during an Instagram Live video on Wednesday evening.

The former Ballon d'Or winner was joined by fellow members of the Galacticos era Iker Casillas, David Beckham, Roberto Carlos and Luis Figo.

Conversation topics ranged from the glory days in Madrid, to the ins and outs of running a football club.

Since retiring, Ronaldo and Beckham have taken similar career paths. The Brazilian is currently the majority shareholder of La Liga side Real Valladolid, while the former England captain is the president of Inter Miami CF and has a 10% stake in Salford City.

On his role at Valladolid, Ronaldo said [via Marca]: “I am very happy at Valladolid. You suffer a lot, every week when you play it is a suffering.

"I have a lot of work to do, many projects to do. We are trying to change the history of Valladolid. It is difficult to compete with the medium and large clubs."

Six years on from purchasing the Miami franchise, Beckham's side finally made their MLS bow in March 2020 before the season was suspended.

On his project in the US, Beckham said: “Miami is a special place and with very special people, the stadium... I am very excited. Manchester and Madrid are my two cities for me, but Miami is special.”

Ronaldo and Beckham spent three years together at Real, and the ex-striker gave a glowing assessment of their time at the Bernabeu.

"You were one of the best," Ronaldo added. "You put the ball where you wanted. Thank you very much for all those balls you gave me.”

Figo and Ronaldo also played together at the Bernabeu for three years, prior to the Portuguese's 2005 switch to Inter.

Reflecting on his time at Real, the former winger said: “We had the opportunity to bring together talent and also some very compassionate people.

"The whole time we were together was very special. All of this allowed us to win. Despite being footballers with such a name, each knew what to do and how to work. That allowed us so many good moments."

Casillas and Ronaldo were teammates for five years, winning La Liga in Ronaldo's debut season at the club in 2002/03.

On their time together, Casillas said: "It was a privilege to have you in Madrid. With your love and your ways, you earned everyone's respect. It was a very good time."
