How good is marble racing, eh?

COVID-19 is already taking its toll on those who live and breathe sport, with 'Martin Tyler's Archives' and re-runs of 'Premier League Years' simply not cutting it. We're only a weekend in!

So, what's the alternative? Marble racing aside, of course.

Well, it might be time to get out FIFA 20 and give it another shot. Exciting times lie ahead for avid FUT players with TOTS on the horizon - a promo that allows even the casual Weekend League player to have a bit of heavenly blue in their starting squads.

We at 90min have already come up with potential Premier League and Serie A teams of the season, with our attention now focussed on reading the minds at EA when it comes to La Liga.

So, here it is; our prediction for FIFA 20's La Liga TOTS. Enjoy.

Goalkeeper

Marc-Andre ter Stegen (GK) - No, it's not been the greatest season for Barcelona but ter Stegen has continued to be class personified. The German has showcased his imperious best and cat-like reflexes on many occasions, and is almost important to his side as Lionel Messi. This card will be a controller-breaker.

Predicted Rating: 95

Defenders

Dani Carvajal (RB) - In an indifferent campaign overall, Real Madrid have redefined themselves as a more pragmatic, defence-first side, with Carvajal aming those to shine for Zinedine Zidane's side. The Spaniard's gargantuan display in March's Clasico is enough to earn him a spot in the TOTS. Seriously, it was that good.

Predicted Rating: 93

Raphael Varane (CB) - His 85-rated card was an outright cheat code, so it's scary to think what a card potentially ten points better could do to the mental health of opponents. I guess we'll soon find out...

Predicted Rating: 95

Sergio Ramos (CB) - Although he's largely been outshone by his centre-back partner this time around, Ramos has still been key in building La Liga's meanest defence. His potential TOTS card would be the Spaniard's fifth special card of the campaign.

Predicted Rating: 97

Sergio Reguilon (LB) - The first non-Clasico playing member of the TOTS - although he is actually on loan from Real Madrid - Reguilon has enjoyed an impressive spell at Sevilla this season. He could be the second Sevilla full-back in a row to make the La Liga TOTS after Jesus Navas made the cut last time out.

Predicted Rating: 87

Midfielders

Casemiro (CDM) - The key spoke in Zidane's wheel; Casemiro has continued to reach new heights for Los Blancos this season. He's simply irreplaceable and his potential TOTS card will undoubtedly be a little bit tasty.

Predicted Rating: 94

Dani Parejo (CM) - The Valencia skipper has led by example at the Mestalla, with the elegant midfielder scoring eight times thus far. His consistency in the middle of the park has seen him earn three in-forms this season and his TOTS card could be on the cheaper side despite the high rating.

Predicted Rating: 93

Martin Odegaard (CAM) - Already blessed with a simply majestic 87-rated 'Future Stars' card, Odegaard's persistent class in a Sociedad shirt should see the Norweigian earn a further upgrade. It'll be a mightily fun card to use, no doubt.

Predicted Rating: 92

Forwards

Lionel Messi (RW) - I mean, duh. Ray Hudson's hero has carried a rather mediocre Barcelona side this season with a league-high 19 strikes to help La Blaugrana to the summit of La Liga. An absolute shoo-in.

Predicted Rating: 99

Karim Benzema (ST) - Arguably the finest striker of his generation, Benzema's fantastic start to the campaign means he leads the non-GOAT La Liga scoring charts with 14 strikes. Although an unpopular choice FUT-wise, will his potential 95-rated TOTS card be able to tempt the FUT community this time around?

Predicted Rating: 95

Luis Suarez (ST) - Despite missing much of 2020 with a knee injury, Suarez's brilliant form in the first half the campaign should be enough to see him earn a spot in the TOTS. His absence has also exposed an incoherent Barça attack.

Predicted Rating: 96

Bench

Thibaut Courtois (GK) - Amid all the adversity, Courtois has gone on to enjoy a fantastic second season in Madrid, rediscovering the form that put him in the conversation for the finest in his position during his pomp at Chelsea. The Belgian's 12 clean sheets also lead La Liga.

Predicted Rating: 95

Felipe (CB) - The Brazilian has slotted in nicely at the heart of the Atleti backline since his summer arrival from Porto, with his stout performances helping Los Rojiblancos to the second-best defensive record in La Liga.

Predicted Rating: 88

Santi Cazorla (CM) - His comeback story: remarkable. His 2019/20 campaign: stellar. The 35-year-old Cazorla has 14 goal contributions this season with his performances garnering a return to the Spain squad.

Predicted Rating: 91

Federico Valverde (CM) - La Liga's breakout star in 2019/20, Valverde saw his performances this season rewarded by EA with a neat winter upgrade followed by a naughty 91-rated 'Future Stars' card. The all-rounder is set for another upgrade when the TOTS promo rolls around.

Predicted Rating: 94

Gerard Moreno (RW) - Registering three in-forms this time around, the versatile Moreno has been Villarreal's star man this season. His 11 goals see him earn a place on the bench.

Predicted Rating: 93

Lucas Ocampos (RW) - The £13m summer signing has proved an instant hit in Seville as the Argentine's ten goals from out wide has guided Julen Lopetegui's side to third in the table. A low-budget option for all you casuals.

Predicted Rating: 87

Mikel Oyarzabal (LW) - After failing to earn EA's recognition since an early-season in-form, Oyarzabal is set for the upgrade he deserves following his 14-goal contribution campaign and a scintillating run of form before the suspension.

Predicted Rating: 90

Reserves

Aitor Fernandez (GK) - It's hard to envisage how many goals Levante would've shipped this season if it wasn't for Aitor. The Spaniard has made 37 more saves than anyone else in the division (121) while boasting the highest save percentage among La Liga keepers (76.7%).

Predicted Rating: 90

Djene Dakonam (CB) - José Bordalás has built something special at Getafe, with the Azulones' success built off a rigid defence spearheaded by the diminutive Djene. The 28-year-old is also a contender for the community TOTS with no in-forms to his name this season.

Predicted Rating: 89

Pervis Estupinan (LB) - A star performer in Osasuna's impressive return to the top-flight, the marauding left-back is undoubtedly a potential wildcard in this TOTS.

Predicted Rating: 86

Portu (CAM) - Another member of Sociedad's creative hub, Portu leads the non-GOAT assist charts in Spain this season with eight and has also added seven strikes of his own. The Spaniard's versatility makes it tough to predict what position EA will make his TOTS card.

Predicted Rating: 88

Antoine Griezmann (ST) - It's certainly been a testing time for Griezmann in his maiden season at Camp Nou. Nevertheless, the Frenchman has teased flashes off his class as he's continued to improve in a left-wing role under Quique Setien - notching 12 goal contributions before the abrupt halt.

Predicted Rating: 96
