Juventus vs Milan Gets Go-Ahead - Fans From Coronavirus Regions Unable to Attend

The Coppa Italia semi final second leg between Juventus and Milan is to go ahead as planned on Wednesday evening, although fan restrictions will be in place due to the coronavirus.

Five Serie A games were postponed at the weekend because of the outbreak, including the top of the table clash between Juventus and Inter at the Allianz Stadium.

Milan's home fixture against Genoa was also rescheduled, while Inter's Europa League match on Thursday was played behind closed doors.

It was also reported that Wednesday's semi-final at the Allianz Stadium would go ahead ​behind closed doors.

However, Juventus have ​released a statement on their website confirming the game will be played as scheduled. However, fans who are resident in the worst affected areas will be unable to attend.

The statement read: "With regards to the Prime Ministerial Decree No. 6 on 1 March 2020, the Coppa Italia semi-final match between Juventus and Milan, scheduled for 4 March 2020 at 20:45 CET, will be open to all fans who are not residents in the regions of Lombardy, Emilia Romagna, Veneto, Pesaro, Urbino and Savona."

Many public services have been closed in Turin over the course of the week, including schools and cinemas, to prevent the spread of coronavirus.

According to ​Forbes, ​Juventus have put their Under-23 side in quarantine until 8 March after three players from Serie C side Pianese tested positive for the disease.

Meanwhile, both Milan and Inter have closed their offices, with staff working from home.

The Coppa Italia tie is finely poised going into the second leg, after the first leg at San Siro ​finished 1-1.

Cristiano Ronaldo's controversial penalty in injury time had cancelled out Ante Rebic's 61st-minute goal, with Theo Hernandez seeing red for Milan 20 minutes from time.

The winner will play either Napoli or Inter, who meet on Thursday night, with Gennaro Gattuso's side leading 1-0 on aggregate.
