The 28-year-old rejected offers from Chelsea, Sunderland and Ipswich to sign for Sir Alex Ferguson's side. However he joined Blackburn Rovers in 2013 having made only two senior appearances for the Red Devils.

Ighalo meanwhile is in line to make his Man Utd debut against Chelsea on Monday night. The 30-year-old had been training away from his new teammates during his first few days at Carrington as a precaution due to concerns about the coronavirus outbreak.
