Neymar Heaps Praise on 'Special Player' Jadon Sancho Ahead of Champions League Showdown

Paris Saint-Germain's Neymar has labelled teenage sensation Jadon Sancho 'a special player' ahead of the French giants' Champions League last 16 tussle with Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday.
During the 2018/19 campaign, Sancho registered a hugely impressive 12 goals and 14 assists in just 34 league appearances for the Bundesliga side.
However, this season, he has already improved on those numbers. In just 20 league appearances, the 19-year-old has already found the net 13 times, while he has also provided 14 assists. Most recently, he was on the scoresheet on Friday evening as Dortmund cruised past Eintracht Frankfurt.
BVB next host PSG in the first leg of their Champions League last 16 tie and ahead of the clash, Neymar has singled out Sancho for praise. The Brazilian has claimed the Dortmund star is a 'special player', while he further admitted that he really enjoys watching him play.
"Without any doubts it will be a great game for those who love football. We are two teams who like to attack, two teams who qualify thanks to the players," Neymar said, as quoted by Sky Sports.
"Borussia have players that can make the difference. Jadon [Sancho] is a player that I really like to watch play and he is a great player with plenty of quality. Borussia Dortmund is a team with plenty of quality players. They have a special player, who is new but who is very good whose name is Sancho.
"He is a good player. We all know how difficult it will be for us here at Dortmund. We are hoping to play a good game to get a good result back to Paris."
As a result of his fine performances, the forward has attracted plenty of attention. It was recently revealed that he is 'expected' to leave Dortmund in the summer, with a number of Premier League sides as well as European giants interested.
A source has recently told 90min that while there is a lot of interest in his services, Manchester United remain 'confident' they will win the race for his signature. Moreover, even though the German side could demand as much as £120m, the Red Devils are prepared to go 'as high as it takes' to strike a deal.
