Wojciech Szczesny Signs 3-Year Contract Extension With Juventus Until 2024

Juventus goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny has signed a three-year contract extension in Turin, keeping him at the club until 2024.
The Poland international was set to enter the last year of his contract next season, having initially joined on a four-year deal from Arsenal in 2017.
However, the Italian champions have now confirmed on their official website that Szczesny has put pen to paper on an improved four-year deal in Turin.
Szczesny was initially used as Gianluigi Buffon's understudy during his first year at Juventus, but the Polish shot-stopper still made 21 appearances across all competitions and lifted the Serie A title, as well as the Coppa Italia.
The 29-year-old made almost double the number of appearances the following campaign as Juventus once again reclaimed Serie A, while he's already had 22 starts under his belt under Maurizio Sarri this season.
Szczesny has conceded just 65 goals in 84 appearances since moving to Juventus three years ago, keeping an impressive 40 clean sheets along the way too.
Juventus have been able to cruise to silverware during that time, but the Old Lady face a fight on their hands if they want to reclaim Serie A this season.
Both Inter and Lazio are hot on their heels this season, while AC Milan stand in their way of reaching another Coppa Italia final.
As far as Juve's aspirations in the Champions League go, Sarri's side are expected to reach the quarter-finals at least this season as they've been drawn up against French side Lyon in the first round of knockout stage matches.
