Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Christian Eriksen is set to officially complete his transfer to Italian giants Inter on Tuesday, after the Dane successfully passed his medical in Milan.

Eriksen joined the north London side in the summer of 2013 and has gone on to make 305 appearances for the club.

However, the midfielder, who only has six months remaining on his contract, has been unsettled in London for some time has been heavily linked with a move away from Spurs since the summer.

During the January window, Inter have led the race for Eriksen's signature ahead of the likes of Juventus, Real Madrid and Manchester United.

Following weeks of speculation, it was recently revealed that the Italian giants had reached a 'total agreement' with Tottenham over a deal for his services.

The 27-year-old flew out to Milan on Monday to undergo a medical and the Daily Mail now report that he successfully passed it later that evening. They further state that he will be confirmed as an Inter player on Tuesday.

The Mail's report claims that Eriksen will sign a four-and-a-half-year deal worth an 'initial' £130,000-per-week before tax. However, interestingly, previous reports agreed that while he will sign a four-and-a-half-year contract, he would earn £260,000 a week. Moreover, this figure could even rise to £320,000 a week with add-ons.

In his 305 appearances for Spurs, Eriksen found the back of the net on 69 occasions, while he also provided 89 assists. However, this season has seen him only register three goals and three assists in 28 appearances for the club.

He will become Antonio Conte's third signing of the January transfer window, with the Nerazzurri having already completed deals for former Premier League stars both Ashley Young and Victor Moses.

The Italian side, who currently sit three points behind Serie A leaders Juventus, are also closing in on the signing of Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud after he recently reached a 'total agreement' to join them.
