Leicester host West Ham in the Premier League as the Foxes look to further consolidate their place in the top four.

The home side sit in third place, six points clear of fourth-placed Chelsea and 11 ahead of Manchester United who reside in fifth. However, they have won just two games out of five, slipping further into the reach of those beneath them.

West Ham have won just one game in five, and have scarcely improved under David Moyes. They hover dangerously over the relegation zone, as Aston Villa are breathing down the neck of the Hammers'.

Team News

Wilfried Ndidi could make a return to Brendan Rodgers' side, after missing the last two matches with a knee injury. Matty James is also set to make his return to the Leicester first-team, as he looks to make his first appearance of the season. Daniel Amartey will continue to miss out as he recovers from ankle surgery.

Michael Antonio and Felipe Anderson could feature for West Ham, as the former suffered a thigh injury and missed the Hammers' last three games, while the latter endured an abdominal injury and sat out of his side's 1-1 draw with Everton.

Lukasz Fabianski

Andriy Yarmolenko received a thigh injection to nurse an injury sustained in December, and although he will not feature against Leicester, he may make a return in the coming days. Lukasz Fabianski has had terrible luck with injuries this season, but will have to miss out again with a thigh injury.

Jack Wilshere and Ryan Fredericks will have to wait until February before they return to the first-team, as they nurse groin and hamstring injuries respectively. Fredericks has not featured for two matches, while Wilshere has been missing since October.

Predicted Lineups

LeicesterSchmeichel; Pereira, Evans, Soyuncu, Chilwell; Choudhury, Tielemans, Maddison; Barnes, Vardy, Perez.
West HamRandolph; Zabaleta, Diop, Ogbonna, Cresswell; Snodgrass, Rice, Noble, Fornals, Lanzini; Haller.

Head-to-Head Record

Since the two sides first met in 1919, not much has separated them. West Ham have just edged the bragging rights, however, as they boast 52 wins, in contrast to Leicester's 48. The sides have also drawn 33 times, showing how evenly contested they have been historically.

James Justin,Arthur Masuaku

They have met 25 times in the Premier League, but the home side have been victorious on just nine occasions. However, West Ham edged this contest again, with 11 victories over this period, so a close game could be expected.

Leicester have not beaten their next opposition at the King Power Stadium since 2016, and have only recorded one victory over West Ham in their previous five encounters.

Recent Form

Neither side has been in scintillating form, given the drastic contrast in the positions of the two clubs.

Leicester have won just two from their previous five league matches, losing the other three. Not only have they been beaten by league leaders Liverpool convincingly, but suffered defeat at the hands of Southampton and Burnley, two sides that a Champions League-chasing club should be beating.

Jamie Vardy

West Ham have not been particularly convincing for some time. One victory from their previous five league games was not the start that Moyes was hoping for, including a defeat to Leicester on this poor run. A 4-0 victory over fellow strugglers Bournemouth inspired hope, but that has dwindled after losing at Bramall Lane.

Here's how both teams have fared in their last five matches.

LeicesterWest Ham
Burnley 2-1 Leicester (19/01)West Ham 1-1 Everton (18/01)
Leicester 1-2 Southampton (11/01)Sheffield United 1-0 West Ham (10/01)

Leicester 2-0 Wigan (04/01)West Ham 4-0 Bournemouth (01/01)
Newcastle 0-3 Leicester (01/01)West Ham 1-2 Leicester (28/12)

Prediction

Neither side are in inspiring form, and Leicester's recent habit of losing to weaker sides may offer hope to West Ham. However, the away side's lack of confidence might hinder their ability to get at Leicester.

Issa Diop

It may be a close affair, but Leicester will have the quality to see off West Ham, and get their season back on track.

Prediction: Leicester 2-0 West Ham
