The Hammers haven’t exactly had the best of seasons to date. Following their disappointing start to the 2019/2020 campaign, Manuel Pellegrini was sacked with the London side bringing in former boss David Moyes to rejuvenate the team.

Since his appointment last month, Moyes secured a comfortable 4-0 victory over Bournemouth on New Year’s Day and has improved his side's fortunes since then.

Here’s a review of the current squad, including those out on loan* - and the possible extension options for each player.

Expire in June 2020

Pablo Zabaleta

West Ham only have two contracts expiring this year, with Pablo Zabaleta and Carlos Sanchez set to leave the club this summer. However, this doesn’t come as a surprise, with both players in the twilight of their footballing careers.

Last year, Zabaleta signed a one-year contract extension with the club - but 2020 could see the defender finally hang up his boots for good. Sanchez is also highly unlikely to receive a contract offer from the club anytime soon.

Jack Wilshere

Following his comeback to the Premier League on Friday night - after Lukasz Fabianski was ruled out with a hip injury for three months - the frustrated keeper was struck with the same injury - halting his long-awaited recovery. His fellow goalkeepers Roberto and David Martin, who only secured his debut this season, also have contracts running out next year, with no current plans to extend either.

Meanwhile, Mark Noble secure a one-year extension for his contract in December and Jack Wilshere, who has been suffering with fitness issues (as per), also has a contract running until 2021.

Felipe Anderson

The following year, the Hammers will face further contract expirations, including the likes of Felipe Anderson and Angelo Ogbonna. By this time, Anderson will have four years of Premier League experience under his belt and if he continues to progress at the club, they could be looking at giving him an extension.

On the other hand, Ogbonna will be reaching the end of his career so a possible extension for the 31-year-old remains unclear.

Issa Diop

West Ham supporters will be delighted to know that both Issa Diop and Manuel Lanzini have contracts running until 2023.

Aaron Cresswell also signed an extension deal in October, taking his contract up until this period and extending his time with the Hammers.

Sebastien Haller

The likes of Declan Rice and Sebastian Haller have contracts running until 2024. Although other clubs may be keen to grab hold of these young prospects, especially upcoming star Rice, the Hammers will do their best to keep hold of these players for now.

However, keeping hold of record-signing Haller should be a no brainer - with the striker expected to be in the West Ham squad for years to come.
