Jadon Sancho's Borussia Dortmund Teammates Do Not Think He's Trying to Force a Move Away

Jadon Sancho's teammates do not believe that he is trying to force a move away from the club in January, despite recent instances of indiscipline.

Sancho has been in impressive form this season, netting five goals and registering seven assists in just 11 games.

His most recent strike came in BVB's 2-1 victory over Hertha Berlin on Saturday, in which Mats Hummels was sent off just before half time.

Despite his eye-catching form, Sancho has been disciplined for a string of indiscretions this campaign, starting when he was fined for returning late from England duty during the October international break.

It has been speculated that these incidents represented an attempt to force his way out of the club, however according to a report by Sport Bild none of his teammates or staff at the club believe this to be the case.

More recently, the winger was fined after turning up late to a team meeting prior to BVB's Champions League clash against Barcelona.

After the incident, the same report alleges that Sancho was spoken to by some to Dortmund's squad leaders, Marco Reus and Axel Witsel, who encouraged the Englishman to refocus on the club's goals.

The 20-year-old has long been linked with a move to Manchester United or Liverpool but if this report is to be trusted, that move will have to wait until the summer at least.

Lucien Favre's side currently sit fifth in the Bundesliga, five points off of table topping Borussia Monchengladbach and a single point behind fourth placed Bayern Munich.

BVB will be looking to gain some ground on these two sides who meet at Borussia-Park on Saturday, when they host Fortuna Dusseldorf.

That game comes before a vital Champions League tie for Dortmund against Slavia Praha. Favre's side progression is poised on a knife edge, as they need to better Inter's result against Barcelona to secure a place in the last 16.
