Early images of Liverpool's third kit for 2020/21 appear to have leaked online, as the Reds look to be sticking with a predominantly black effort to kick off the Nike era.

Leaked pictures of their rumoured new away kit emerged in October, with an overhauled design seeing Liverpool go turquoise away from home

And now, from the same provider (Footy Headlines), we appear to have an idea of what the Reds' third kit will look like - although there is significantly less change in this instance.

According to the images which have surfaced - which leave plenty to the imagination, showing only a close up of the chest area and the socks - the new third kit will remain black, with a chequered design completing what appears to be a subtle change from their current third kit which is used mainly in the Champions League.

The socks are also black, featuring a checked design in line with the shirt, although we are yet to see any of the shorts or how the shirt sponsor could look.

The initials of the club appear to emblazoned in the centre of the chest in the image, along with the signature Nike swoosh, although it's unclear if this design will actually make the shirt or if it is simply for promotional purposes.

Concept designs have also come to light which give us a better general idea, but these are simply speculated based on the limited information that has been leaked - so don't read too much into them for now.

Liverpool's deal with current manufacturer New Balance expires at the end of the season, and they are expected to switch to a new deal with Nike after winning a long-standing legal battle with their current providers.

The new deal is thought to be worth less at face value, but offers significantly increased exposure and a 20% cut of merchandising, which is reported to have convinced Liverpool to sign on for five years.
