Everton vs Chelsea: Marco Silva's Best Available Toffees Lineup

Everton are back at Goodison Park this weekend, when they host Chelsea on Sunday afternoon.

The Toffees will be eager to bounce back from their devastating defeat last Saturday, as they gave up a 2-0 lead to lose 3-2 to Newcastle United at St. James’ Park.

Everton manager Marco Silva is without two of his centre-backs, including Phil Jagielka through injury. However the biggest blow is the absence of first team regular Kurt Zouma, who is ineligible to face his parent club in his loan deal.

Here’s a look at the best potential Everton lineup to face Chelsea on Sunday.

1. Goalkeeper and Defenders

Jordan Pickford (GK) - After a controversial performance against Newcastle where he avoided being sent off, Pickford will retain his spot in goal. The England number one has played every minute of Everton's league campaign this season, keeping eight clean sheets.

Seamus Coleman (RB) - Coleman will make up Everton's back four, as he is set to make his 25th appearance of the season. Now aged 30, the Irish defender remains a regular for the Toffees, and will be hoping for a strong outing on Sunday.

Michael Keane (CB) - Keane has been an ever present figure in Everton's back four this season, making 29 appearances. Though he will be without his usual partner Zouma, the Englishman will remain at the heart of the Toffees defence for the crucial visit of Chelsea.

Yerry Mina (CB) - With Zouma ineligible and Jagielka injured, Yerry Mina should earn his first league start in three months. The Colombian is a safe choice to fill in at centre back on Sunday, having made a 15-minute cameo in last week's defeat at Newcastle.

Lucas Digne (LB) - Digne will be eager to produce another excellent performance on Sunday, in the same week he was called up to France's squad for their EURO 2020 qualifiers. The Frenchman has more assists than any Everton player this season, with an impressive five.

2. Midfielders

Idrissa Gueye (DM) - Gueye will retain his spot in front of the defence, as he makes his 28th appearance of the season. The Senegalese midfielder has been one of Everton's key players this season, having almost left for Paris Saint-Germain before the deal broke down.

Morgan Schneiderlin (DM) - Schneiderlin looks likely to make up the midfield anchor alongside Gueye, having rotated his position with Barcelona loanee Andre Gomes. The Frenchman has struggled for gametime this season, making just 11 appearances.

Bernard (RW) - Another regular for Everton, Bernard will need to be at his best for the Toffees on Sunday. The Brazilian playmaker has made 28 appearances this season, though is still searching for his first league goal and hasn't registered an assist since late December.

Gylfi Sigurdsson (AM) - With the most appearances and joint most goals for Everton this season, all eyes will be on Gylfi Sigurdsson at Goodison Park. The Icelandic midfielder has 12 goals and four assists this season, and will need to be in top form if the Toffees want to win.

Richarlison (LW) - Richarlison will complete Everton's attacking trio in midfield, as he hopes to score in back to back league games for the second time this season. The Brazilian has scored 12 goals this season, scoring the Toffees' second goal against Newcastle last week.

3. Forward

Dominic Calvert-Lewin (FW) - Everton's lone striker for the visit of Chelsea will be Dominic Calvert-Lewin, who is currently in strong form for the Toffees. The 21-year-old has scored two goals in his last three league appearances, and will be hoping to bring his league tally for the season up to seven goals when Chelsea are the visitors on Merseyside.
