Neil Warnock’s Cardiff side travel to the West Midlands to take on Wolves on Saturday afternoon.
The Bluebirds are sitting one point above the relegation zone and need to start picking up points sooner rather than later. Warnock will be happy that he has a fully fit squad considering it’s the business end of the season and they need more wins on the table.
It’s been a tough couple of games for Cardiff, shipping eight goals in their past two fixtures. A 5-1 thumping to Watford was followed by a 3-0 defeat to Everton as they head to the Molineux in a bad run of form.
1. Goalkeeper & Defenders
Neil Etheridge (GK) - Etheridge may have conceded eight goals in two games but the Cardiff keeper has been arguably one of their best performers of the season.
Sean Morrison (CB) - Cardiff will be glad to have their captain back after a spell on the sidelines. Morrison has started in every game that he has been available for this season and that should continue on Saturday.
Sol Bamba (CB) - Bamba has been a stand out performer in recent weeks despite poor results. His partnership with Morrison should be rekindled after the captain's injury kept him out.
Joe Bennett (LB) - Bennett has shown versatility in recent weeks by playing in an advanced wing back role. If Warnock were to revert to four defenders again, Bennett would naturally slot back in the left back position.
Nathaniel Mendez-Laing (RM) - Injury kept Mendez-Laing out of the squad at the start of the season. He has been limited to 12 Premier League appearances this season and is still waiting for a full 90 minutes this year.
Harry Arter (CM) - Arter was an unused substitute during the defeat to Everton on Tuesday. His experience could bring him back into the squad for this huge game against Wolves.
Aron Gunnarsson (CM) - The Icelandic midfielder's is nearing his 300th game as a Cardiff City player. He scored in the last meeting between the sides in November.
Junior Hoilett (LM) - The Canada international also got on the score sheet in the reverse fixture against Wolves and is set to make his 23rd appearance of the season.
Bobby Reid (ST) - The 26 year-old has bagged four goals since his summer move from Bristol City. He should sit behind Oumar Niasse at the weekend.
Oumar Niasse (ST) - The January signing should return to the starting lineup after missing out on the defeat on Tuesday to his parent club Everton. The striker is still awaiting his first goal of the season.
