Following a testing Christmas period, Marco Silva will have time to take stock and rotate his squad a little this weekend as the Toffees host Lincoln City in the third round of the FA Cup.
With things in the Premier League not running too smoothly, a decent cup run could be a good way to get fans back onside.
Here's how Marco Silva may line his Everton team up.
1. Goalkeeper & Defenders
Maarten Stekelenburg (GK) - You'd expect Jordan Pickford to be rested for this one, so Stekelenburg should make just his third appearance of the campaign.
Seamus Coleman (RB) - Coleman didn't feature in the recent league loss to Leicester - Jonjoe Kenny played instead - but the Irishman's fresh legs may be used to help sure up the backline against Lincoln.
Phil Jagielka (CB) - The veteran has hardly featured at all under Silva this term, but this could be an opportunity to get a rare run out as his time at Everton seemingly comes to it's conclusion.
Yerry Mina (CB) -Tyias Browning may have been considered for this spot, but as the youngster nears a loan move with Aston Villa it looks like Yerry Mina will be given more minutes to adjust to the English game.
Leighton Baines (LB) - The club legend has found himself behind Lucas Digne this season and will struggle to get his place back any time soon it seems. Baines may have to settle for playing in cup games such as these for the rest of the season.
Tom Davies (RM) - The talented midfielder seems to have yet to convince his new boss and has found consistent league minutes hard to come by. He might have to play a little out of position to fit into the lineup here.
James McCarthy (CM) - Recently fit again following that long term injury - a tibia and fibula fracture. More than anything, McCarthy will just want to get back out on the pitch again.
Morgan Schneiderlin (CM) - Another player who seems to have underwhelmed his new boss. Schneiderlin will have to put in a pretty incredible performance to change current Everton opinions on him.
Ademola Lookman (LM) - The youngster is a slight doubt, but if he can shake off his ankle injury he should get a chance to impress Everton fans with his usually entertaining wing play.
Cenk Tosun (ST) - With just two league goals this season, the Turkish forward could see this fixture as a way to improve his tally and push for a more regular spot in the league.
Oumar Niasse (ST) - Another forward shy on goals, Niasse hasn't really featured in Silva plans at all. He will hope to grab himself his first goal of the season here.
