Picking the Best Potential Leicester City Lineup to Face Cardiff City on Saturday

Leicester City host Cardiff City on Saturday afternoon, as they look to make it three wins on the bounce.

The Foxes come off the back of back to back victories over Chelsea and Manchester City, as they picked up a crucial six points to move up to seventh in the Premier League.

Claude Puel is due to have a full strength squad for the visit of the Bluebirds, though long term absentees Matty James and Daniel Amartey are still unavailable.

Here's a look at the best potential Leicester City lineup for the Premier League game against Cardiff City.

1. Goalkeeper and Defenders

Kasper Schmeichel (GK) – Schmeichel has been outstanding this season, and produced solid performances against Chelsea and City. Leicester’s number one has made 19 appearances this year, keeping six clean sheets in the process.

Ricardo Pereira (RB) – Since signing from Porto, Pereira has been key for the Foxes registering two goals and two assists. This includes his thunderbolt winner against Man City on Boxing Day, which secured the valuable win.

Harry Maguire (CB) – Sitting at the heart of the Foxes defence will be Maguire, who has played 15 times this season and is certain to start on Saturday. However he must be cautious, as he is one yellow card away from a one-match suspension.

Wes Morgan (CB) –Since returning from suspension, Morgan has played every minute of Leicester’s last nine league games, and will probably make it ten on Saturday as he makes up Leicester’s centre back partnership.

Ben Chilwell (LB) – Chilwell has done an excellent job since replacing Christian Fuchs at left-back. The Englishman will likely make his 19th appearance of the season on Saturday, and will be looking for his third assist of the campaign.

2. Midfielders

Wilfred Ndidi (CM) – Another player on the verge of a one match suspension, Ndidi must be careful on Saturday. Nevertheless Puel will be keen to play him, having played 21 times this season.

Nampalys Mendy (CM) – Mendy is rather under-appreciated in the Leicester lineup, as despite making 18 appearances this season he is rarely spoken about. He is likely to play on Saturday, at the heart of the Foxes midfield.

Hamza Choudhury (CM) – Leicester’s local lad has only played four times this season, but after fantastic recent performances Choudhury will surely play again. He earned huge praise for his performances against Chelsea and City, as the 21-year-old continues to impress.

3. Forwards

Marc Albrighton (RW) – Albrighton has featured in all but one of Leicester's games this weekend, and after scoring against City, expect the English winger to start once again this weekend.

Jamie Vardy (ST) – It was Vardy’s goal that secured the three points against Chelsea, as he got his sixth goal of the season. The striker is Leicester’s top scorer this season, and continues to provide the goals for the Foxes.

James Maddison (LW) – Arguably Leicester’s signing of the season, Maddison has been excellent this season. Since joining from Norwich he has five goals and three assists for the Foxes, and will look to end a strong 2018 on a high.
