Picking the Best Manchester City Lineup to Face Fulham in the Premier League on Saturday

Manchester City get back to Premier League action as they host Fulham on Saturday afternoon.

Pep Guardiola's side have enjoyed an unbeaten start to the league, despite not performing to the same lofty heights they set during the 2017/18 season.

A draw against Wolves is the only blot on their record so far and they'll be hoping they can earn themselves a convincing win to keep up with the likes of Liverpool and Chelsea at the top end of the Premier League table.

Here's a look at how they could line up for the clash against Fulham.

1. Goalkeeper & Defenders

Ederson (GK) - The Brazilian goalkeeper didn't play during the international break so he will be fresh to play in this one.

Kyle Walker (RB) - Scored his first goal for City with a thunderous strike against Newcastle and is a certainty to start.

John Stones (CB) - Featured in all of Manchester City's victories this season and is likely to retain his place in the side after performing well against Newcastle.

Aymeric Laporte (CB) - Despite the stiff competition for places in defence, Laporte has played in all of Manchester City's matches this season and should continue his partnership with Stones.

Benjamin Mendy (LB) - One of City's top performers this season, Mendy has already picked up four assists from left back.

2. Midfielders

Fernandinho (DM) - City's first choice defensive midfielder will continue to operate in a deep lying position to offer defensive screening for his defence.

Bernardo Silva (RM) - Raheem Sterling's potential absence from the team could provide a way back into the starting XI for Silva, who was a substitute against Newcastle.

Riyad Mahrez (LM) - Mahrez may have  to switch to a less familiar position on the left flank, but he should be just as effective.

David Silva (AM) - With Kevin De Bruyne out injured, the Spaniard is now expected to  acting as the side's chief creator.

3. Forwards

Sergio Aguero (ST) - The Argentine is the side's top scorer so far this season in the Premier League with three goals after scoring a hat-trick against Huddersfield.

Gabriel Jesus (ST) - Jesus hasn't been as deadly in front of goal compared to his strike partner, with just one goal to his name, so he'll be desperate to get his name back on the score sheet.
