AC Milan host bottom of the league Benevento on Saturday in Serie A, and I Rossoneri will be hoping to put their opponents to the sword after the rather embarrassing draw between the two sides earlier in the season.
The reverse fixture was Gennaro Gattuso's first game in charge after replacing the fired Vincenzo Montella, and now that the Italian knows his squad much better, here's an XI he could select to try and get the three points:
- G. Donnarumma99
The 19-year-old will continue between the sticks for Milan.
With Alessio Romagnoli and Andrea Conti still sidelined, Ignacio Abate and Christian Zapata could continue in defence for I Rossoneri.
Ricardo Rodriguez will seek to get forward at every opportunity and captain Leonardo Bonucci will be charged with keeping things tight at the back, so as to avoid a repeat of the draw earlier in the season.
Gattuso appears to have settled on a midfield trio of Franck Kessie, Lucas Biglia and Giacomo Bonaventura in recent weeks and at times they have looked a very effective unit in the middle of the park.
The latter of trio scored last time out and is Milan's best source of creativity from deeper areas, with Kessie and Biglia the more defensive minded.
With Hakan Calhanoglu unlikely to be passed fit for the game after a flare up in his knee, Fabio Borini could start once again from the left.
The ex-Liverpool man is always full of running and doesn't mind the dirty work, but there might not be too much of that to do against Benevento, meaning the other side of his game will need to be there.
Nikola Kalinic should get the nod over youngster Patrick Cutrone, and support will come from the other flank in the former of Suso, who like Borini, needs a convincing performance.
