The first half of the 2017/18 Premier League campaign has been lit up by the emergence of a number of exciting new talents.
Here’s a look at four of the best players that have shone brightly so far this season...
When the Brazilian midfielder picked up a goal and an assist in his first two games of the season, it was clear that Richarlison was going to be one to watch at Vicarage Road.
3. Andreas Christensen
After Chelsea’s most successful captain John Terry announced he would be leaving the club at the end of the 2016/17 Premier League season, there were question marks over who would replace the skipper in Chelsea’s backline.
With a number of faultless performances this season, Christensen has cemented his place in the Blues' three-man defence after David Luiz was dropped from the Chelsea squad in November.
2. Dominic Calvert-Lewin
At just 20 years of age, Dominic Calvert-Lewin has become a regular name on the Toffees team sheet. Everton fans must be happy with his gritty, tenacious style of play, which has earned him six assists and three goals for his side this season.
Everton boss Sam Allardyce has had nothing but praise for the forward, stating: “Young Calvert-Lewin is battling away. I think he's got a bright future but I don't think we can rely on him week in, week out at the moment.”
1. Nick Pope
When Burnley’s Tom Heaton suffered a shoulder injury against Crystal Palace in the Clarets fourth game of the season, it was up to Nick Pope to fill in for Burnley’s number one, making his Premier League debut in the process.
Since then, Pope has started every game for Burnley, picking up eight clean sheets for his side this season.
