Dejan Lovren Blocks Account & Deletes All Mention of Liverpool on Instagram After Spurs Hammering

​Liverpool defender Dejan Lovren has taken his frustrations of Sunday's 4-1 hammering at the hands of Tottenham Hotspur out on social media platform Instagram, deleting both 'LFC' from his bio and his profile photo, as well as blocking all incoming message capabilities on the service. 

The 28-year-old had a short afternoon to forget at Wembley Stadium, with the centre-back at fault for Spurs' opening two goals and being substituted by boss Jurgen Klopp after just 30 minutes.

There was speculation during and immediately after the Merseysiders' humbling defeat in north London that the Croatia international was carrying a knock, however his German manager stated unequivocally after the mauling that it was simply a tactical change after bringing on Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain on the half-hour mark. 

"He wasn't injured", Liverpool Echo writer James Pearce reported the 50-year-old stating following the final whistle via his ​official Twitter account. 

"We just had to change something."

However, it seems Klopp was not the only one who deemed the need for change, as after the match Lovren removed all associations bar previous posts of his allegiances with Liverpool. 

The Bosnia and Herzegovina-born defender seemingly wanted to cut off any contact between himself and supporters over Instagram by blocking their ability to contact him, as well as deleting the Reds' initials from his bio and profile picture. 

It seems then that the centre-back did not take kindly to his manager's decision to haul him off, but there is little argument that the former Borussia Dortmund boss made the correct decision following the abysmal start his side had made.
