Europe's giants will be on high alert this summer as Mesut Ozil's Arsenal contract winds down with little to no sign of a renewal.
The popularity of the five-time German player of the year has waned in London in recent times leading to a potential of departure looking evermore likely.
If the Gunners were to lose Ozil, either by cashing in this January, or on a free next summer, there would be an array of potential suitors who'd be happy to comply with his demands.
5. Atletico Madrid
This move might seem unlikely given Ozil's history at rivals Real. However, the opportunity to play alongside the likes of Diego Costa, Antoine Griezmann and Yannick Carrasco could entice the 2014 World Cup winner.
The move could also benefit Atletico in thier bid to keep Griezmann happy in the capital, while bolstering an already formidable attack.
The opportunity to play for a world class manager like Diego Simeone could also prove tempting for Ozil.
Often described as someone who doesn't do enough of the dirty work, Ozil's mercurial often relaxed style might need to be altered to fit in with Simeone's notoriously hard working team.
La Liga seems to be a recurring theme in relation to Ozil leaving the Emirates and for good reason. During his spell in Madrid he thrived while playing behind Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema.
Although a switch to Catalonia wouldn't be popular in Madrid, he would not be the first to do it. Players before him such as Ronaldo, Luis Figo and Samuel Eto'o are a few of the names to play for both sides - and all boast legendary status.
Barcelona would find the creative maestro, who could be the heir to ageing captain Andres Iniesta.
3. Paris Saint-Germain
Is there a transfer list that doesn't include PSG at the moment? With rumours linking them to every superstar on the market, PSG could line up a potential move for Ozil.
With Edinson Cavani likely to be on the way out and Marco Veratti linked with Barcelona, PSG could use some creativity in their side going forward. This is where Ozil fits in, as the 28 year old would be the perfect player to have behind the pair of a lethal Neymar and developing Kylian Mbappe.
2. Borussia Dortmund
A return to Bundesliga is another possible scenario for Ozil, with Dortmund as front runners for his signature.
Bayern Munich have seemingly taken themselves out of the running for the Arsenal playmaker with the signing of James Rodriguez, thus making Dortmund, who could use an experienced creative talent to tutor the crop of youngster, amid injury problems for Marco Reus and Mario Gotze.
1. Manchester United
Both Manchester squads appear to be on spending sprees in a bid to essentially buy trophies. Adding a high profile player like Ozil would likely boost United's chances of collecting trophies.
Ozil's desire to play under Mourinho once again has been previously reported, and the former Chelsea and Real Madrid manager has a history of getting the most from the attacking midfielder.
5 teams who could be interested in signing Ozil should he run down his contract at Arsenal. The teams range from United to PSG.
