Few things in life are as inescapably embarrassing as a poorly timed slip of the tongue which newly signed AC Milan midfielder Lucas Biglia discovered the hard way.

The 31-year-old recently became part of AC Milan's summer overhaul to the tune of €16 million plus bonuses so fans were naturally clamoring to see the veteran Argentine in the flesh as he stopped to sign autographs ahead of a training session.

Milanistas have been raving about the recent shock arrival of Juventus defender Leonardo Bonucci so Biglia's move from lesser rivals Lazio may not have been the subject of quite as much fanfare.

Still, fans probably weren't expecting Biglia to be forgetting which team he just joined as he greeted autograph and selfie seekers with an unfortunate "forza Lazio".

Fan footage showed those around him visibly triggered by the phrase and, to his credit, Biglia immediately recognized his mistake and tried to rectify it.

Given the sheer number of high profile players to have signed for Milan in recent weeks, this mistake may be forgivable as spirits are high at the San Siro.

Still, Biglia will probably be hoping that he remembers not to show up to training with his old Lazio gear next time around or he could really be in hot water.
