Teenage sensation Millen Baars has allegedly completed a transfer that will see him make a move to Old Trafford ahead of other potential destinations such as Arsenal and Chelsea.

According to The Sun, the 16-year-old left the Amsterdam club this summer after agreeing to a deal in principle to join Manchester United.

Now, reports are claiming that the move has been made official, and the young starlet has even updated his Instagram account on Thursday by writing "Footballer for Manchester United" on his biography.

The winger is a product of the impressive Ajax youth system, and was scouted for United by Marcel Bout last year.

Bout was working under Louis van Gaal at the time, but was kept on when Jose Mourinho took the top job at the Theatre of Dreams, and the club retained their strong interest in Baars from the previous season.

It is believed that Baars told Ajax of his intentions to leave in January, but was awaiting international clearance before being allowed to make his move to Manchester.

Baar's father commented on the move - which has been in the pipeline for at least 12 months -saying that: “We have had talks with Ajax that were between Millen and the club .Ajax is a great club with a very good youth system, but they can unfortunately not cope so very well.

"You saw in the past with other youth players who now play at other clubs. But Millen was ready for a different challenge. There was interest from Italy, Portugal and England, but when he was at Chelsea and United to look, he knew he wanted to play in Manchester."
