Bayern Munich chairman Karl-Heinz Rumenigge has joked about how little is known about the club's latest signing Coco Tolisso, comparing him with Coco Chanel.

The Bundesliga champions have signed Tolisso from Lyon for a total of around €41.5m - becoming the most expensive French footballer to move to Germany. The 22-year-old has signed a five year contract with Bayern, becoming their fourth signing of the summer.

During the press conference held for Tolisso's arrival, chairman Karl-Heinz Rumenigge spoke of how he hopes their latest player will become 'very well known soon', claiming that 'until now Germany only ever knew about Coco Chanel' rather than Coco Tolisso.

The youngster is known for being a versatile player, similar to new teammate David Alaba. Tolisso can be deployed anywhere within the midfield, and can also be relied upon to take up the right-back role as well as an effective false nine.

"I joined FC Bayern because they're one of the best clubs in the world, if not the best," he told the Bayern Munich website upon his arrival.

"Many young kids dream of FC Bayern, it's such a great club."

Rumenigge then went on to explain the club's decision behind signing the midfielder, claiming that Tolisso fits in with the club well, and noting the 22-year-old's work rate.

"We've watched him for a long time. He's hard-running, determined, quick and dangerous in front of goal. Coco fits in well with us, and I think we'll enjoy having him as our player."

After the press conference concluded, Tolisso took to the training ground for the first time to link up with his new colleagues.
