Watford have emerged as favourites to sign Nottingham Forest's Britt Assombalonga, according to reports - and the bookies.
The striker scored 14 goals in the Championship last season, despite only 20 starts for Forest, and now it looks likely that he will be on his way out of the City Ground this summer.
Burnley and Middlesbrough are both heavily linked with a move for the number nine - and Sky Sports even went as far as reporting that Sean Dyche had made an £8m bid for the striker.
However, according to SkyBet, Assombalonga is most likely to return to Vicarage Road this summer - moving back to the club that he spent three seasons with earlier in his career.
The Hornets are 4/7 to sign the forward at the time of writing, followed by Burnley at 4/1, Middlesbrough at 6/1 and Wolves with an outside chance at 33/1 - whilst staying at Nottingham Forest is given the likelihood of 4/1.
The 24-year-old began his career with Watford in 2011 at just 17. After being loaned out to three clubs between 2011 and 2013, he eventually left the Hertfordshire club for Peterborough United, where he scored 23 goals in 43 appearances.
A good showing with the Posh resulted in a switch to his current side Forest, and since 2014, he's scored 30 goals in 65 matches for the Championship outfit.
Having already signed Will Hughes from Derby this summer, new Watford boss Marco Silva seems quite happy to take from England's second tier - and Assombalonga may be the next in line for a step up to the Premier League.
