Manchester City officials have arrived in Istanbul with a view to finalising a deal for Başakşehir's Turkish winger Cengiz Under.

As reported by BEIN Sport's Turkish outlet, the Citizens are close to sealing the deal for yet another young wide player.

Whilst details are few and far between at the moment, it is claimed that a delegation from the Manchester club arrived in Turkey earlier on Thursday, and will try to thrash out a deal for the highly-rated 19-year-old.

Ünder had been previously linked with an £8m move to Tottenham, having garnered a reputation after some exciting performances in the Turkish Süper Lig.

Now, having finished an impressive second last season, the club are currently attempting to reunite Gaël Clichy with Emmanuel Adebayor in Turkey.

Already capped four times by Turkey at senior level, Ünder made thirty-two league appearances for the club last season, scoring seven goals and laying on five assists.

City’s most recent signing from Turkey was striker Enes Ünal, who they sold to Villarreal this summer for a profit of around £10m, despite him failing to make a Premier League appearance.

If Ünder was to arrive, a work permit would be unlikely and he would probably be loaned to a club on the continent in a similar fashion.
