Bordeaux midfielder Adam Ounas is set to join Serie A side Napoli in a €10m deal, subject to a medical in the coming days.

The 20-year-old has emerged as one of the brightest prospects in French football over the past couple of seasons after progressing through the club's youth ranks.

The youngster has been impressive enough to have gained a call up to the Algerian national side having initially represented France at U20 level.

Ounas had been courting the attention of a number of clubs, but it appears that Maurizio Sarri and Napoli have staved off the competition to get their man as reported by RMC chief editor Mohamed Bouhafsi.

He claims the Italians are poised to announce the €10m move once the player has completed his medical at the club, which is scheduled for some time later this week.

Ounas will be hoping to make his mark at Napoli, who will be competing in the upcoming season's Champions League once again following an impressive campaign domestically last term that saw them finish third - which was just a point behind Roma, and five behind champions Juventus.
