Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool have reportedly rejected an opening offer of £1m from Derby County for their almost forgotten defender Andre Wisdom.
According to The Telegraph, via Empire of the Kop, the club have refused the offer for Wisdom, on the grounds that he is worth double the offered figure.
Wisdom, now 24, spent last year on-loan at Red Bull Salzburg, where he won the Austrian Bundesliga with the club. Despite this though, it is apparent that Wisdom has no role in Klopp's plans for Liverpool and will be allowed to leave Merseyside following four consecutive loan spells away from Anfield.
Wisdom's last appearance for the Reds came in 2013, and it's safe to say the former England under-21 captain hasn't lived up to the potential that many thought could result in him being a permanent fixture in Liverpool's defence.
It now seems the best pragmatic choice for both player and club is the Englishman's transfer away from Anfield. However, it remains to be seen whether Livepool's valuation will be matched and whether a still decent player will be able to revive his career after so many loan spells at different clubs.
