The Major League Soccer Goal of the Week award went to Atlanta United's Hector Villalba for week 13. With 61 percent of the vote, Villalba was the unanimous decision in the fan vote. Joao Plata of Real Salt Lake finished second in the voting with 16 percent.
Villalba scored this top drawer goal in Atlanta's 3-1 win over New York City FC as it curled it past Sean Johnson in the 19th minute.
This was Villalba's fifth goal in 12 appearances for Atlanta this season. The Argentinian also has four assists to his name.
It's been a week of awards for Atlanta as Miguel Almiron was named the MLS Player of the Week, on Tuesday, for his two-goal performance against NYCFC
Atlanta is on a three-match unbeaten run as they have won their last two matches by a combined score of 7-2. They will face the Vancouver Whitecaps on Saturday.
