Huddersfield Town boss David Wagner is going to ask his good friend Jurgen Klopp to keep on-loan goalkeeper Danny Ward for another season - if they are to be promoted to the Premier League.
Wagner worked under Klopp during the German's time at Borussia Dortmund and the two are so close that Klopp asked the Huddersfield boss to be the best man at his wedding.
Wagner will ask Klopp to keep Ward for another season, according the Mail and will hope that their closeness will play a part in Klopp's decision.
Ward has had an impressive season for Huddersfield in the Championship and has played a pivotal role in the fight to achieve promotion into the English top flight.
He has kept 11 clean sheets in the 43 games he's played and saved two penalties in the playoff semi-final shootout against Sheffield Wednesday.
Huddersfield now face Reading in the Championship play-off final at Wembley to secure a place in the Premier League next season.
It is thought that Klopp wants to take Simon Mignolet, Loris Karius and Danny Ward on a pre-season tour for a chance to monitor the three closely, in an attempt to determine which two he will predominantly use for the upcoming Premier League season.
Both Mignolet and Karius have failed to cement a number one place at Anfield, following a season of unconvincing performances from the pair - so after an impressive season for Ward in the Championship, Klopp will surely like to see the progress of the 24-year-old and possibly give him a chance in the Liverpool first-team.
