Arsenal are reportedly eyeing a double swoop for Real Madrid duo Danilo and Karim Benzema in the summer transfer window as Arsene Wenger looks to overhaul the squad - however, the future of Hector Bellerin remains crucial to the deal moving forward as Barcelona's interest in the right-back holds the key to the deal.

With Barca desperate to sign a new right-back, the Barcelona born Bellerin could make a return to the Camp Nou where he played the majority of his youth football, and in return his transfer fee would be sent to fierce rivals Real Madrid to secure Danilo's signature.

As reported by Spanish outlet Don Balon, the Gunners are interested in Danilo who moved to the Bernabeu in a £27.1m deal from Porto in 2015, but the Brazilian has struggled to cement his position in a star-studded Real Madrid side.

The 25-year-old was considered to be the new Dani Alves but with only 24 appearances this campaign, Danilo is reportedly looking for an exit at Madrid and the Gunners are prepared to offer a way out.

However, Arsenal are not willing to match what Real Madrid originally paid for the defender as they value the Brazilian at £17.2m which would be financed in-part from the sale of Bellerin.

With the futures of Olivier Giroud and Alexis Sanchez at the Emirates uncertain the Gunners are also willing and interested in upping their bid to include Benzema in the deal, which would inject a much needed natural goal scorer into the side if Giroud and Sanchez were to depart.

As the Gunners have once again failed to mount a serious challenge for the Premier League title - 18 points behind champions Chelsea - an overhaul of the squad is expected in the summer and the Real Madrid duo are on the Gunners radar.
