Bayern Munich defender Mats Hummels is set to miss his side's important Champions League tie against holders Real Madrid on Wednesday after suffering an ankle injury in training.
The German centre-back had to be carted off the training pitch on Sunday morning, and has since told Bild:

Gute Genesung, Mats! pic.twitter.com/C1pVJgrEqv
Carlo Ancelotti was thought to have his mind set on starting Hummels and Javi Martinez against his former side, but has been inconvenienced by this latest development.
However, he shouldn't find sorting out his defence very difficult, with Jerome Boateng now available.
Sehr traurig darüber mindestens die nächste Woche auszufallen...

Very sad about missing at least the next two games...
Goalkeeper Manuel Neuer wasn't available for training on Sunday, while Thomas Muller participated in his first session since his injury. But both players are expected to be in the squad to face the Spanish side during the week.
