Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has praised his City side for playing with the 'right attitude' in a match which could have been a big banana skin for them against Hull City on Saturday, which they ended up coming out 3-1 winners.
The win keeps his side in a good position to finish in the Champions League places, but still sitting in 4th place, wary of what goes on behind them, with their place no where near set in stone.

Speaking to Sky Sports after the match, Pep praised the contribution of Jesus Navas, after he played in a position which is not natural to him in right back:
"He helped us with the first goal and the second goal was on that side. Sergio (Aguero) helped us a lot to play. There were many, many good things.
"He can play that. In the last games he has played against Alexis (Sanchez), Eden Hazard and Marcos Alonso and he played really good."

Speaking about their positive attitude in the match, Guardiola said:
"No complaints, of course Hull created one or two chances on the counter attack in the first half but in the second half nothing happened except the last-minute goal.

"It was in the last moments. We need to score goals and we conceded one because we defended poorly.
"The set-pieces, there was one corner and a second ball, and six players forgot to defend. Normally when this happens you concede a goal."
The result puts them in a great position for Champions League football next season, but they are still going to need to fight hard to actually cement that place at the end of the season.
