Crystal Palace are facing an injury crisis as nine players have been ruled out for Monday night's clash with Arsenal.

Speaking at a pre-match press conference, Palace boss Sam Allardyce confirmed that whilst James McArthur and Joe Ledley may return in midfield, there are still a number of notable absentees - including key midfielder Yohan Cabaye.

Patrick van Aanholt has been out of action since injuring his ankle against West Brom at the beginning of March, and to make matters worse, both Scott Dann and James Tomkins have also picked up knocks that will rule them out of Monday's huge game for both clubs.

Back up left-back Pape Souare is another that looks set to miss out alongside Cabaye, who is sidelined with a calf strain.

The Eagles will be hoping Christian Benteke can lead the line on his own for 90 minutes against Arsenal as Connor Wickham, Loic Remy and Frazer Campbell are all out of the game on Monday.

Palace are in desperate need of a result as they sit just three points above the relegation zone in 16th.

They had a chance for all three points against Southampton on Wednesday night, going one goal up through Benteke before a second-half capitulation saw them lose 3-1 at St Mary's.
