Dutch team Ajax will be looking to take back Manchester United's Daley Blind in the summer as the left-back has struggled for game time this season under Jose Mourinho, according to reports from The Sun.
It's been a rollercoaster ride for the Dutchman so far this season as he hasn't been a regular starter under Portuguese manager Jose Mourinho. Now Ajax are hoping they can take back the 27-year-old, the club he initially signed from three years ago. He was a regular starter when he first arrived Old Trafford and enjoyed his time with former manager Louis van Gaal.
United paid around £14m for the Dutch international and despite playing as a midfielder back then, he spent his time in the English Premier League as a natural defender. The player's contract is expected to expire in one more season, however, there have been no talks and interest from the club to extend it.
The Amsterdam-born player has achieved great success with his former club in the Eredivisie Dutch league by winning four consecutive titles. Blind is also the son of former Ajax defender and former Netherlands national team manager Danny Blind.
It is reported that Ajax are waiting to see if Blind will be featured more on the field under Mourinho. If that won't be the case, the Amsterdam team will express their current interest and offer a price.
