Inter Milan have slapped a €50m price tag on winger Ivan Perisic, in a bid to ward of interest from a number of Premier League clubs who are keen to make a move for him this summer.
According to talkSPORT, Chelsea, Manchester United and Liverpool have all been keeping a close eye on the Croatian, who has been a star performer for the Nerazzurri over the last 18 months.
With the summer transfer window fast approaching, Inter are understood to be demanding £42.5m for their man, that's despite hope that he will sign a contract extension in the weeks to come.
Though talks are understood to be underway between the player's representatives and club officials, reports in Italy suggest that Perisic's future hangs in the balance and Internazionale are looking to cover all eventualities should negotiations regarding a new deal breakdown.
Perisic has fast become one of the more popular players at the San Siro and despite his club's difficult season, the 28-year-old has an impressive record with nine goals and five assists to his name in all competitions.
Inter's sporting director, Piero Ausilio, has previously insisted that the Croatian international is not for sale, but as the player continues to alert clubs in England, it seems the Nerazzurri may well have to review their stance in the summer.
Though high, Perisic's price tag will do little to put off the likes of United, Liverpool and Chelsea, who have all shown in previous transfer windows that they are willing to spend heavily and will doubtlessly be looking to bolster their respective squads this summer.
